Mish-a-Mish Park & Nature Trail

16612 Russo Dr, Copemish, MI
For those traveling on M-115, the Village of Copemish provides a fantastic opportunity to take a break from driving and enjoy some outdoor family activities. Located on the southwest side of road, Mish-a-Mish Roadside Park is an ideal spot to stretch your legs for a few minutes, enjoy a picnic, or even embark on a hike. The park is equipped with playground facilities for children, along with several picnic tables and grills. If you have a bit more time, the adventure truly begins on the First Creek Trail, which starts at the park and winds approximately one mile, featuring a loop that follows First Creek. This interpretative nature trail guides hikers, bird watchers, and nature enthusiasts through the wetland habitat surrounding the creek, offering insights into its history and importance. While First Creek is relatively small, it is part of a much larger watershed that flows into Bear Creek which ultimately feeds into the Manistee River.
Hikers may encounter wildlife such as wood turtles, brook, bald eagles, and great blue herons along the way. As the trail traverses wetlands, it’s advisable for hikers to bring bug spray.
Mish-a-Mish Roadside Park also hosts a Farmers Market, where you can find fresh produce and other unique items from our community!
Mish A Mish Market - Sundays from mid-May through August, from 10 AM to 3 PM.
